A smith once told me: you never truly fail when forging a knife—you just end up with a shorter one. That proved true with this project. The O2 core and 420 cladding split near the tang, but there was still enough material left to forge a hunting knife.
The micarta scales were crafted from the very shirt I wore while making the blade, and the hybrid Kydex-leather sheath was an experiment that turned out to be the perfect match.
